During our last school year, we were asked to imagine and produce a short film with a single constraint: Don't Touch!
The film had to show a button of great importance with which the protagonist had to interact.
We immediately wanted to immerse ourselves in a retrofuturistic/cyberpunk universe.
In the year 2077, in Tokyo, humanity is living at the height of technology, and robots are an integral part of everyday life.
Archaeologists have unearthed an artifact from the famous Big Bang, with properties capable of resetting the world by using black hole particles to distort space and time.
This object, known as “The Heart”, becomes the center of a story in which Mia, having lost all her loved ones and possessions to robot domination, finds herself plunged into total helplessness. To escape the robot guards in pursuit, she enters the sanctuary where the artifact is kept. There, she reaches the sacred altar with the aim of starting all over again...
Then, an intense white light rises into the sky.
Post-production was crucial for this project, with more than half of the short film shot on green screen.
